First Thoughts

What a start! My head has been spinning for a week! I knew this class was going to be a challenge but after a week panic started to set in. I started out OK, trying to learn all the new lingo, figure out where and how to do a profile and surfing the site...Wow.!..then the ice storm arrived and the computer connection was gone. Now, not only did I have an enormous amount to learn but I was also getting behind. I declared I was out of of head for taking this class but, secretly I just wanted to find MORE time to sink my teeth into what I was learning. It is taking me time and I find I have go back over and over and experiment to get the hang of all this technology.

I remember when I was first introduced to the computer, it was a challenge just to find where to turn it on. My children were too eager to help by leaning over my shoulder to operate the keyboard. After much frustration, I informed them I could do it on my own and they walked away shaking their heads. I do recall getting so wrapped up one night, my son asked if they were going to get dinner that night-it was 8 o'clock! Now, they say, Mom, you are doing what?!

I am very excited to take this class and am learning some real cool stuff. I was on Spyke last night talking to Kim - loved it! I can't wait to learn more, but I'm afraid I may have to ask for help many times before I really get it! I can't wait to learn enough that I will have the best Health curriculum ever!

  1. Yes, new lingo...new websites to master...and I already forgot my password! Do you happen to know hot to retrive your password from Wetpaint? I see no place to do so...

  2. I know the start up to this course is a step learning curve. There are a lot of new tools that we'll be using, but by week three everything will be set up and we'll just be learning with them and experiencing with them.

Ask away! That's how we learn!
